NEW STOKE BRANCH!
We’re pleased to report that the opening of our new Stoke-on-Trent branch has gone without a hitch – thanks to all those involved who have made the launch a success...
Bringing new levels of service to The Potteries area, this new branch means that our customers have flexibility of stocking points in addition to Birmingham and Manchester for their replacement glass and associated products.
The new branch, initially to be run by a team of six and managed by Brendan Stafford (Birmingham branch manager), was opened in collaboration with a new Autoglass® branch next door – a first for Laddaw® and Autoglass®. This allows us also to ensure excellent service levels to both our internal and external customers in this region.
Teamwork
Technical support manager, Duncan Griffiths said: “In just three weeks we have set up all the systems and placed over 7,000 pieces of glass into the branch to create the ideal stock profile.
“But perhaps more poignant is the fact that even under very difficult economic conditions the company is still driving forwards: investing in the network; investing in our people and investing in the service we can offer – a really positive signal.”
Thanks to all concerned
The branch opened on Saturday 4th April 2009 with a customer open day on 16th April to introduce them to their new conveniently placed mini-distribution centre.
This successful opening could not have been achieved so smoothly had it not been for the outstanding efforts of everyone concerned. Of those people a special thanks goes to: Jeff Wilson (PPL manager – Bardon); Andy Parr (DC Supervisor); Mo Bouzaida (Bardon DC); Tommy Butler (Operations Support Manager), Mark
Roberts (IT support) ... and many more who took on extra work and responsibility in addition to their day-jobs to get this branch off the drawing board and into reality.
